Dr. Brian J. Boyle (Dr. Brian) received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2007. Prior to that he received a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy in 1998 from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY. Dr. Brian was also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), as recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association for over 10 years.
After completion of his Master of Physical Therapy degree, Dr. Brian moved back to Pennsylvania and worked at a level one trauma and teaching hospital performing duties in acute care, home health, and outpatient services. Dr. Brian's specialty in sports medicine allowed him to soon became the director of the sports medicine program for the hospital. He was instrumental in developing sports conditioning programs to get injured professional and amateur athletes back to their sport. He also put together and lectured at numerous community awareness programs emphasizing wellness and prevention with healthy lifestyle and sports activities.
In June 2002, Dr. Brian moved to North Carolina where he began providing both outpatient and home health physical therapy in various settings in the Gastonia area. In July 2004, Gaston Rehab Associates, Inc. opened its doors.
Dr. Brian has over 12 years of experience in the physical therapy profession. His experience includes working with individuals of all ages who have back pain (neck and low back) pre- and post- surgical intervention, joint and muscle pain, sports related injuries, work related injuries, and with fitness and healthy lifestyle needs.
Dr. Brian is also capable of meeting the needs of local, regional, and nation-wide businesses. His expertise in ergonomic assessment, functional job analysis/job description, functional capacity evaluation, and pre-employment screen design, allow him to confidently work with any size company in just about any industry (including but not limited to commercial transportation, call centers, and other healthcare providers).
Dr. Brian is married to his wife Brittney and they have a son and an English bulldog. He is also active on many levels in and around the community.

Joseph H. Nowak PT, DPT

Dr. Joseph H. Nowak (Dr. Joe) graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Deamen College, Amherst, NY in 2007. Prior to that Dr. Joe received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Daemen College, Amherst, NY in 2000.
In 2000, Dr. Joe moved to the Myrtle Beach, SC area where he worked as a physical therapist in a large hospital system performing acute care and outpatient services. He specialized in the treatment of orthopedic and sports injuries as well as various neurological conditions, burn and also wound care treatments.
In August of 2003, Dr. Joe moved to the Gastonia area where he worked in the outpatient and home health settings. In July, 2004 Gaston Rehab Associates, Inc. opened it's doors.
Dr. Joe has over 10 years experience and has advanced training in treating disorders of the knee and shoulder specifically. Dr. Joe is currently accepting new patients and looks forward to exceeding your expectations with his personalized care.
